I don't even know how to begin this review, because the outpour of love, gratitude and warmth I feel for Chesterbrook is hard to quantify into words. My son attended Chesterbrook for 3.5 years, starting at just shy of 3 years of age. The integration to the school was seamless for my son, and I genuinely felt that we had joined a very special family. Preschool at Chesterbrook was an activity my son looked forward to throughout his years there, needless to say, my son was very sad when he realized he would no longer attend Chesterbrook after his Kinder year (upon completing the Primary curriculum). The relationship I built with the school was also very positive, open, and as stated before, felt like family - my concerns were listened to and respected. Lastly, being open during the 2020-2021 school year was an absolute gem; the school did an amazing job with balancing in person curriculum and COVID-19 safety - it has to be stated that this was thanks to the staff's commitment and hard work. In summary, Chesterbrook will forever hold a very dear place in my heart, they became an important part of my son's development; I don't think our family will ever forget.”

“Our two year old daughter has attended Chesterbrook and all three of us absolutely love the school. She has been attending since she was about 19 months old, and she has made Tremendous progress with independence and developing her vocabulary. She loves to read, speak, and learn new words. Her learning there astounds me and my wife and I are in awe of what Ms. Lisa and her staff do to encourage these little loves every day. They teach them everything from changing their own clothes, community eating etiquette, toilet training (!!), interpersonal skills, and respecting their teachers. Could not recommend a school more highly. Well run and highly communicative with the parents via email."

“Our son is in the toddler classroom. He loves going to school everyday and loves his teachers. We are big believers in the Montessori Method, we have already seen how he has become more independent. It has also pushed me to let him do and try more at home, which in turn has built his confidence and makes him so proud of himself."

"I just want to testify to what a strong foundation Chesterbrook Montessori gave me for the rest of my schooling and beyond. I was, to the best of my recollection, not the easiest kid to deal with, but the teachers at Chesterbrook were unfailingly dedicated in ensuring I was learning what I needed to in a way that worked for me, in giving me constructive outlets for self-expression, and in fairly disciplining me when needed (thank you, Bernie, for chasing me back and forth for days until I agreed to learn how to read). There are so many components to my flourishing throughout my education that I can trace back to preschool - my love of reading, my appreciation of art, my work ethic, not to mention practical skills like math and science that gave me a leg up going into elementary school. Montessori fosters an interest in and engagement with learning that I think is often lacking in many other educational contexts, and personally gave me a kind of mindfulness and self-awareness that have served me very well as I continued on in my studies. Even today I often find myself being reminded of the lessons I learned at Chesterbrook - not just connecting 1000 beads in a row down the hallway, but a practical understanding of numbers and how mathematical operations work; not just how to polish silver, but the importance of taking care of your possessions, the satisfaction of a job well done, and a fascination in the chemistry at work in silver polish to boot; not just how to lay out a place setting, but the importance of coming together in community, of shared experience, and of course of always cleaning up after yourself. I wouldn’t be who or where I am today without everything I learned at CMS, from both the Montessori curriculum and the amazing teachers. If you’re looking to give your child a strong start in their education and for the rest of their life, there really is no better place."
