Head of School, AMI Primary Montessori Guide

Judy Balcazar Mercill founded Chesterbrook Montessori School in 1971. Judy is trained as an AMI Montessori Primary Guide. She took her training at The Washington Montessori Institute. Judy has over 45 years of experience working with children ages 3 - 6. Judy enjoys attending workshops to help support children. Through these workshops, she has brought her love of art and music to our classrooms. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time at the beach with her family.
