Chesterbrook Montessori School conducts half-day and full-day programs. Children attend school four (toddler program) or five (primary program) days a week to ensure consistency and continuity. Your child's regular attendance is expected, since this supports the success of his/her school experience.

Montessori Toddler Program

Ages 18 months through 2.9 years of age
(only at the AF campus)

Half Day

(8:45-11:45, M-Th)


Family Fridays

(9:15-10:15) One Friday per month.
No Drop-off, Optional parent/child visit in the classroom.

Montessori Primary Program

Ages 2.9-6 years of age

Half Day

(8:30-12:00, M-F) for 3 and 4 year olds


Extended Day

(12:00-3:00, M-F) 4 year olds
(only at AF campus/spaces are limited)

Academic Full Day*

(8:30-3:00, M-Th/8:30-12:00, F) for 5 and 6 year olds


Friday Extended Days

(12:00-3:00 F) for Academic Full Day Students


*In general, children who will be 5 years old by Sept. 30 may start the Full-Day Montessori Program in September. Children who turn 5 between Oct. 1 and Jan. 1 may be admitted to the Full-Day Montessori program in January, provided that a financial commitment is made to enroll the child for the following school year and the teacher feels the child is developmentally ready for a full day.
